Hoy en dia se habla mucho del modelo SaaS o "Software as a Service". Con este modelo de "delivery", un proveedor puede ofrecer un retorno a la inversion sin paralelo.El ejemplo mas notorio y exitoso de con este modelo de negocio es salesforce.com. Esta compania ofrece software de automatizacion de ventas (y ahora de procesos y documentos) en forma de arendamiento por la web.
La gran pregunta es si este modelo tiene futuro en America Latina. Por esto decidi realizar una encuesta (por la web) dentro del mercado de Colombia solicitando opiniones sobre que software se pensaba tenia mas potencial para ser exitoso usando este modelo de negocio. Aparentemente, esta encuesta (no sientifica) confirma que el potencial esta en implementar un modelo de negocio similar a Saleforce.com.

El modelo de software como servicio es muy interesante y es indiscutible su crecimiento en el mercado por su flexibilidad y facilidad de uso. A pesar de que he realizado varias búsquedas no he logrado encontrar un proveedor del servicio para Colombia, alguien puede referirme una empresa que preste el servicio de hosting para las aplicaciones desarrolladas?
